Hi Bill,

I don't know if I ever told you, but the cvs repo is up 
and running on edg.uchicago.edu.  We've been using it 
(and got a light-weight windows cvs client to work, too, 
which is quite nice).  The relevant settings are

setenv CVSROOT :ext:edg.uchicago.edu:/designs/cdf_l2/hdl_repo
setenv CVS_RSH ssh

You need to either enter your password on every ssh invocation
or set up some other form of authentication (ssh keys, .shosts,
whatever).
